In the Bethlem Royal Hospital canteen, the OCD bully (an art sculpture designed to represent the bullying nature of OCD) will be on display. Staff, current residents and discharged residents will be handing out information about the charity OCD Action and offer people time to answer any questions they may have about OCD.

Further information will be available about how to get treatment for OCD and about the successful treatment of OCD at the ADRU; SLaM’s national centre of excellence for the treatment of people with anxiety disorders, including OCD.

In West Wickham Sainsbury’s, they will have a group art project ‘the Brain’ on display to attract interest and attention in aid of raising awareness of OCD. Customers visiting the local store will be encouraged to anonymously write down their intrusive thoughts and learn about how normal intrusive thoughts can be a disabling part of OCD for some. There will be OCD Action fliers available and an opportunity to ask both staff and residents about OCD and the ADRU treatment of severe OCD.
