Consultant Clinical Psychologist | Research Clinical Psychologist (HCPC Registration Number PYL 19075)

Dr Juliana Onwumere is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with the National Psychosis Unit and the Psychological Interventions Clinic for Outpatients with Psychosis (PICuP) and a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. She is also the Family Intervention (FI) Lead within PICuP.

Background

Dr Onwumere holds a BA (Hons) degree in psychology; Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy), and PhD in Psychology.

Research

Her main research and clinical interests are focused around psychosis – in particular, issues relating to families (and improving the development, training and wider provision of CBT and Family Interventions), early psychosis and older adults with psychosis.  She has supervised doctoral-level projects, presented research and run clinical workshops on Family Interventions at national and international conferences.
