Eligibility criteria

Eligibility Neuropsychiatry and Neuropsychology

  • Age 18+ years
  • Male or female
  • Identified or suspected neuropsychiatric disorder
  • Neurological disorders (e.g. head injury, brain lesions, multiple sclerosis or SLE,) with accompanying cognitive, behavioural, or psychiatric disorder
  • HIV induced neurocognitive or psychological difficulties
  • Memory disorder presentation, for example Korsakoff syndrome, cerebral hypoxia, encephalitis, and complications of stroke
  • Inherited metabolic disorder
  • Possible early dementia, such as mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer dementia, vascular dementia or other rarer forms of dementia, including frontotemporal dementia
  • Similar symptoms to early dementia as a result of depression or other psychiatric disorders, for example depressive pseudodementia
  • Neurological or memory complaints thought to have psychological or psychiatric causation

Exclusion Neuropsychiatry and Neuropsychology

  • We accept people over the age of 65 years – referrals are considered on an individual basis
